Stevens Middle School Hosts Career Fair to Inspire Students

Stevens Middle School was excited to host a Career Fair on Wednesday, May 15. The objective of the event was to provide students with the opportunity to interact with professionals from various career fields.

The Career Fair featured sessions where professionals engaged with students, discussing aspects of their jobs such as certification requirements, necessary skills, career pathways, and more. The sessions were conducted in both English and Spanish to ensure accessibility for all students, and attendees had the chance to ask questions and gain valuable insights into different career options.

"We believe Career Days are essential for our students as they provide real-world exposure to various career paths," said Tyler Thompson, Principal of Stevens Middle School. "By interacting with professionals from different fields, students can gain a better understanding of the skills and qualifications required for different careers, helping them make informed decisions about their future."

The Career Fair schedule included four 30-minute sessions, starting at 8:00 AM and concluding at 10:15 AM. Students were scheduled to attend sessions based on a survey to ensure maximum engagement. A reflection period followed the sessions, allowing students to provide feedback and presenters to complete checkout surveys.

"We are grateful to the professionals who have generously volunteered their time to participate in this event," added Principal Thompson. "Their contributions will undoubtedly inspire our students and help them envision the possibilities for their future careers."
